With over 15 years clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist, I have worked both in Iran and Australia with a wide range of client groups experiencing speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties. I have a background in speech pathology, with a Masters and Bachelor from The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Science (USWR), Tehran, Iran. I also have a background in mother-child interaction and language development in children, with a PhD from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia. I have worked across a number of settings including day care centers, university clinics, private sectors, and specialist rehabilitation centers.
Alongside my private clinical caseloads, I also have worked as a Clinical Educator for the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences in Tehran supervising speech pathology students undertaken the practical component of their training. In addition, I have 12 years’ experience lecturing in Speech Pathology at USWR.
Whilst working as a speech pathologist, I have created, delivered and evaluated various education and training programs for parents, teachers and speech pathologists. I am passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and their families by attentively listening to my client’s needs and reliably delivering therapy in a manner that leaves children and their parents empowered and feeling satisfied with their own success. I have an abundance of resources and evidence-based techniques which allow therapy to progress with velocity.
I have a special interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as those with developmental language delays. I hold the Hanen certificate for working with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
